This tapered profile style, widely known as featheredge, is installed with each board overlapping the one below creating a bold shadow line effect. However, this profile is far more sophisticated than standard featheredge. For starters, it is a substantial size. It is wider (171mm overall) and thicker (28mm at the butt) than most cladding. This profile also features a substantial overlap where the boards connect to accommodate the natural movement in the wood.

Preservative Treated and Fully Factory Coated

Silva’s Nordic Spruce cladding is kiln-dried to 16% (+/-2%) and protected by a spray-applied preservative, making it suitable for external use when coated.

The surface texture is fine-sawn for optimal coating penetration, performance, and a stylish look.

A high-quality satin black finish accentuates the natural attractive grain appearance.
