A smaller scale project, the client wanted to extend their existing single garage into a Garden room space, suitable for an Office and band practice Studio.
Orientation of the extension was key in the design, with bi-folding doors angled back round towards the main terrace so that the room can be opened up to create a stage-like area whilst maintaining a sound absorbing space with the doors closed.
Eaves glazing allows plenty of natural light into the space with long thin views down the garden. The hierarcy of timber over render provides a layering of modern materials, promoting the natural tmber material as the eye-catching finish.
Internally, exposed ply and thin black aluminium window frames provides a stark contrasting back drop to the space.
